From drones delivering medical supplies to pop-up airports and advancements in air mobility vehicle design, the third aviation revolution is transforming our land and skies. Advancements in electrification, regulation and autonomy are radically modernising how aviation sustainably connects people, delivers goods and provides services across the globe. In the UK, the £300 million Future Flight Challenge from UK Research and Innovation, is accelerating the development of new technologies, social insight and advanced aviation solutions. It’s ambitious world-leading approach is being adopted internationally and continues to attract global partners. This session will reveal new Future Flight projects and pioneering plans to deliver the third aviation revolution first in the UK.
