Winchester Science Centre

Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium is a leading hands-on science and discovery centre dedicated to sparking curiosity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

They will attend the show across FAB Friday and the Public Weekend with a variety hands-on exhibits and activities, including its mobile planetarium - all designed to educate and inspire young people into careers in STEM-related subjects.

Innovation Zone - Sparking Curiosity in STEM

Children and young people will be inspired as Winchester Science Centre and the STEM NOW team give a flavour of how exciting and engaging a career in STEM can be. Pioneer Room 1 - Mobile Planetarium Experience

Enjoy a fully immersive and visually stunning flight into space. The high-quality 360 degree film projection transforms the 6m dome into the outer reaches of space and will take you on a journey through the stars. A planetarium presenter will be on hand to guide you through the galaxy and answer any questions or queries you have - a trip not to be missed!

Pioneer Room 1 - Get Hands-on with Physics and Flight

Take a fascinating and fun exploration of flight through live demonstrations, engineering challenges and hands-on activities. The team from Winchester Science Centre will be challenging visitors to make and launch their own aeroplanes, inviting audience participation for short live science shows and answering any questions you might have about science.
