Build your own mini jet engine using aluminium engine kits comprising 9 components each.

You will be taken through how the jet engine works, learn about the key components and how they perform.  You will be shown how to take the engine apart into its 9 component pieces, and taken through how to build the jet engine yourself.  Once you are confident building the engine correctly, you can build against other people in an exciting competitive build-off session.

Whilst taking part in this, you can hear about which aircraft are powered by our Trent family of jet engines. Our STEM Ambassadors will help lead you through this activity and can also talk to you about their careers so far as Graduates, Interns or Apprentices.

An opportunity for the younger generation to experience first-hand the career opportunities within the Aerospace sector.  The Innovation Zone features fun and interactive displays and demonstrations from industry, academia and STEM organisations.
