CFM

CFM International (CFM) was formed in 1974 as a 50/50 joint company  between GE and Safran Aircraft Engines. Today, CFM is the world’s leading supplier of commercial transport aircraft engines and the best example of a successful international joint venture.

Since the first engine was delivered in 1982, CFM has received orders for nearly 47,000 CFM56 and LEAP engines from 570 operators worldwide, of which nearly 32,000 engines have been delivered.

In addition to the highly successful CFM56 product line, CFM introduced the advanced LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines into commercial service on the Airbus A320neo in 2016 and the Boeing 737 MAX in 2017, respectively.
