Alan Peaford is an aviation writer and broadcaster. He is editor-in-chief of FINN, the Farnborough International’s digital media channel, and for Times Aerospace publications including ADS Advance, African Aerospace and Arabian Aerospace magazines. He is also the chairman of Aerocomm Ltd, a UK-based media consultancy and support company specializing in aviation and aerospace. In this role he has been consultant editor for Flightglobal for almost three decades and was responsible for developing the Flight Daily News at the world’s major airshows and events such as NBAA, EBACE and NBAA. He is author of the Pocket Guide to Business Aircraft, now in its 10th edition, and is a regular aviation broadcaster in the UK and internationally.

He started working life as an actor and then entered newspaper and radio journalism in London before moving to the Middle East. He returned to the UK to head a communications team at oil company BP and was then headhunted to become the youngest managing director of a publicly quoted advertising and PR agency. He led a management buyout of one of the PLC’s divisions which became the UK’s largest corporate communications agency with offices in New York, Dubai, Munich and Singapore as well across the regions in the UK. He sold that business in 2004 to focus on his love of aviation.

He was president of the European industrial editors (FEIEA) for six years and president of the UK’s Institute of Internal Communications. He has won five Aerospace Journalist of the Year awards and in 2014 was given a lifetime achievement award at the annual event at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.

He is a private pilot. In January 2014 he was awarded with an MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.


Rt Hon. Nicky Morgan MP is the Member of Parliament for Loughborough, elected in 2010. She is a former M&A lawyer and worked in three major City of London firms.  In Government she served as Secretary of State for Education, Minister for Women & Equalities, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Economic Secretary to the Treasury and as a Government Whip.  In July 2017 she was elected by MPs on all sides of the House of Commons as the first woman Chair of the Treasury Committee.  She is the author of ‘Taught not Caught: Educating for Character in the 21st Century.



Guillaume Thibault is a partner at Oliver Wyman, based in Paris. Having worked at the firm for almost 15 years, he has amassed experience in strategy, offer design and the launch of new business lines. His industry expertise includes aerospace, process & manufacturing, transportation and B2B services.As well as his wide-ranging experience in consultancy, Guillaume has authored several studies on global trends in services and digitlization and has published a book entitled What industrial strategy in the globalization?Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Guillaume worked at Merrill Lynch and Forrester Research.



As London’s first Chief Digital Officer, Theo will play a leading role in realising the Mayor’s ambition to make London the world’s smartest city, ensuring that the capital’s status as a global tech hub helps transform the way public services are designed and delivered, making them more accessible, efficient and responsive to the needs of Londoners.Theo joins with extensive public and private sector experience. As Cabinet member for Finance, Technology & Growth at Camden council, Theo established Camden as London’s leading digital borough through its use of public data – and this year they received national recognition as Digital Leaders ‘Council of the year’. He’s worked at GovTech accelerator Public Group, advising start-ups on the growing market in local public services, and was previously Head of Policy & Public Affairs for the video games industry’s trade body, Ukie.



Gary was appointed Chief Executive of the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) in April 2014, assuming responsibility for the strategic direction of the institute and its operational performance. Prior to this, Gary was the Chief Executive of Hybrid Air Vehicles Ltd a private equity backed aerospace OEM.Previously Gary held a number of senior level positions within BAE SYSTEMS, NG Bailey and HBOS, working across a number of international markets. Gary holds a first class honours in Aeronautical Engineering from the Queens University of Belfast and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management.



Mr. Eduardo Dominguez Puerta serves as Head of Urban Air Mobility of Airbus S.A.S since June 1, 2018. He joined Airbus in 2002 and has held various operational management positions including overseeing Supplier Development and Lean Management. Before heading New Business Strategy at Airbus, he was instrumental in setting up operations of A3 where he served as Chief Operating Officer.



Prof. Yu is the Executive Director Asia for IBA Group, where he heads up efforts to provide advisory services to airlines, lessors, investors and banks. Prof. Yu has extensive experience in direct investments and financing across industries including origination, analysis, structuring, financing, and senior management responsibilities. Prof. Yu is also Adjunct Professor of Finance at NYU Shanghai and teaches Crossborder Investing And Financing and PE/VC classes. He has taught at China’s Communist Party School. He is a recognized Aviation Expert by the China  EXIM,an Instructor for IATA and an ISTAT Certified Appraiser, where he is the only independent in China.



A Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Mark has over 30 years experience in the aerospace sector, beginning his career at Lucas Aerospace before taking  increasingly senior roles at Dunlop Aerospace and Meggitt. Mark established Sigma Components in 2004, with a view to helping companies in lower tiers of the Aerospace Supply Chain establish capability in the emerging Chinese markets. Sigma has grown significantly as a manufacturer of components, pipes and fabrications and now employs more than 800 people across six sites in the UK and China.




Adrienne Braumiller is the founder of Braumiller Law Group PLLC and an innovative force in the international trade law arena. With more than 25 years of experience, she is widely recognized as a leading authority in Customs, import, export, foreign-trade zones, free trade agreements and ITAR compliance.

Both Adrienne and her firm have received numerous awards in recognition of her/ the firm’s leadership and its dedication to excellence.





Blake Scholl founded Boom Supersonic in September 2014 with the goal of making high-speed travel mainstream. Prior to founding Boom, Blake held leadership roles at Amazon and Groupon and co-founded mobile technology startup Kima Labs. He started his career at Amazon as a software engineer in 2001, where he developed software for personalized and automated merchandising and later owned a $300M P&L at age 24. Later, Blake was the first employee and director of product development at Kleiner-backed mobile startup Pelago. In 2010, he co-founded mobile technology startup Kima Labs, which was acquired by Groupon in 2012. At Groupon, Blake held multiple executive roles, culminating in responsibility for relevance, email, and search. Blake’s interest in aviation started in childhood—he grew up in suburban Cincinnati, where his parents often took him to the local airport to watch Cessnas take off and land. He started flying for fun in college, earning his private pilot license in 2008 and instrument rating in 2011. Blake holds a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University; he lives in Denver and is father of three.



Mr. Edwards leads all aspects of the sales effort for the Aerion AS2. He retired as president of Embraer Executive Jets at the end of 2013 and earlier served as that company’s vice president of sales & marketing for North America. In those roles (from 2005 to 2013), he helped build Embraer, a new entrant to business aviation, into one of the industry’s leading brands.

A 45-year veteran of the industry, Edwards most recently served as non-executive Chairman of Veling Tayara Ltd., a Dubai-based company that provides structured operating leases for business jets and is a sister company of Veling Ltd., one of the world’s top 40 commercial leasing companies.

He has held senior management positions with Cessna and Gulfstream and is the former president of Swift Aviation Group, which introduced Embraer to the business aircraft market in 2002 by offering the Legacy 600, a variant of the Embraer EMB-135 regional jet.

Edwards is an ATP pilot, type rated in Citation series aircraft, and also holds an airframe & powerplant license. He is a 1972 graduate of Kelsterton College and speaks Arabic.



Vik Kachoria is CEO and President of Spike Aerospace which is designing the world's first QUIET supersonic business jet, the Spike S-512. Mr Kachoria is a seasoned executive with over 35 years international business experience in corporate development, general management and mergers & acquisitions with Fortune 50 and early stage ventures. He has assisted in raising capital, led integration efforts and evaluated numerous mergers & acquisition deals between $200m-$3b.

Early in his career, he worked at NASA and General Electric Aircraft Engines. He has also conducted research at NASA and MIT on the Solar-Terrestrial Magnetosphere and designed an early pattern recognition software. He built a prototype of a Mag Lev train in the 80s, contributed to a proposal on asteroid mining and investigated anti-particles/anti-gravity. He currently serves as an advisor or investor in several early stage technology companies. Mr. Kachoria has a pilot’s license and is working towards his commercial rating.

He studied at MIT Sloan School of Management and Boston University, has an MBA and a BA in Physics and Mathematics.



Neil Cloughley is Managing Director of Faradair® Aerospace Limited, a double award winning hybrid aviation start‐up manufacturer based in the UK. He is an Aviation and IT industry entrepreneur that has spent over 13 years within the commercial aviation sector working with some of the largest aviation brands and financial institutions. Faradair® has achieved global coverage, created world class partnerships and won awards and international aerospace start‐up competitions. In 2017, Neil was asked by the Department of Transport to help advise on ‘Future Flight’ policy for the UK Government, highlighting the rapid ascension of Faradair® among its larger aerospace peers.



Seyed Mohseni is a serial entrepreneur and former CEO of Samad Power (with successful growth and expansion of the company to be the UK first clean tech company for two years 2015 and 2016), with a successful track record within 20 years in technical roles, including with Siemens and ExxonMobil. His academic background is Aerospace Engineering Design (Kingston University) and MSc in Aerospace Propulsion (Cranfield University) followed by his MBA and doctorate in gas turbine technology, both from Cranfield University.



Sanjeev S Gadhia is the Founder and CEO of Astral Aviation Ltd which is a dedicated all- cargo airline based in Nairobi, Kenya and operates a fleet of seven cargo aircrafts into Europe and within Africa. Operating one of the most successful airlines in Africa for 18 years, Sanjeev is responsible for the overall management, network planning and fleet acquisition for Astral Aviation, along with its Pan African expansion strategy, which entails two new cargo hubs in West and Southern Africa, including diversification into Logistics, Airport Infrastructure, Executive Jets and Unmanned Cargo Aircrafts.In September 2016, Sanjeev was appointed Vice Chairman of AFRAA’s (African Airlines Association) Cargo Committee based on his extensive experience in the aircargo sector in Africa and in October 2017, was appointed as the First African to be a Board Member of the largest aircargo association, TIACA (The International Air Cargo Association)




Antonio Campello is the President & CEO of Embraer X, an Embraer company dedicated to disrupt the transportation business. He leads innovation teams based in Silicon Valley and Boston, seeking new business models and exponential technologies.

With a career spanning more than 30 years at Embraer, Mr. Campello has held key leadership roles in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Excellence, New Business Development, Technology Development, Program Management, Industrial Integration and Engineering.

In April 2017, Embraer announced a preliminary agreement with Uber to explore the concept of the Uber Elevate Network ecosystem, which will allow the potential
development and deployment of small electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (VTOLs) for short-haul urban commutes.





Doug Gates, Global Head of A&D and Global Sector Chair for Industrial Manufacturing.Doug has over 35 years in A&D industry in senior industry and advisory roles. 






Torsten Welte, the global vice president and head of aerospace & defense (A&D) at SAP, has over 25 years of experience in consulting, sales, IT, and program management. Under Torstens leadership, the A&D Team delivers industry solutions that help customers innovate and grow their businesses, operate safely, and develop their people. Torsten joined SAP Americas in 2004 and has held several key leadership roles within the North American Aerospace & Defense segment. Prior to his tenure with SAP, Torsten spent 12 years with Deloitte Consulting managing several large SAP implementations as well as strategy engagements across different manufacturing industries.

David  McMullen  leads  international  marketing  solutions  for  Informa  plc’s,  Aviation  Week  Network  (AWN).  By  understanding  customer’s  behaviours  and  changing  needs,  the  Aviation  Week  Network  marketing  solutions  connects  marketers  to  customers.  Using  the  combination  of  leading  industry  insight,  marketing  tactics  and  audience  behavioural  data,  David  designs  results  driven  marketing  strategies  for  clients  such  as  Rolls-Royce,  CFM  and  SAP.  Prior  to  joining  the  Aviation  Week  Group,  David  was  Vice  President  of  Singapore-headquartered  aviation  marketing  strategy  firm,  SimpliFlying.  He  joined  SimpliFlying  following  a  highly  successful  period  with  UBM  plc,  directing  the  award  winning  Routesonline  business  and  working  with  global  route  development  specialists,  Airport  Strategy  &  Marketing  Ltd  (ASM).



Enrico Scharlock is an Aerospace & Defense Solution Experience Director for Dassault Systèmes since 2014Scharlock provides leadership and strategic direction for the companys Aerospace and Defense 3DExperience solutions focused on manufacturing. Working with our global customer base, Scharlock focuses on addressing customers’ challenges in Manufacturing. Previous to his current role, Scharlock spent five years in Seattle as the Boeing Manufacturing Solution ArchitectWith Dassault Systems since 2001Scharlock held multiple roles in process planning and

manufacturing including five years as the Process Planning Team lead and Senior Consultant for Aerospace in Japan and projects working for Airbus and others. Scharlock earned Masters and Bachelordegrees in Business and Science Engineering from University of Applied Science, Germany.



Guy is a Senior Editor for Aviation Week, based in Los Angeles. Before joining Aviation Week in 2007, Guy was with Flight International, first as technical editor based in the U.K. and most recently as U.S. West Coast editor. Before joining Flight, he was London correspondent for Interavia, part of Jane's Information Group. 

Amongst other works Guy has authored the aerospace section of a science encyclopedia and co-authored, and produced an educational aviation CD-ROM. Guy has authored more than a dozen books on the air transport industry and been honored with several journalism awards including the several books on the histories of Airbus, Boeing and other airframe manufacturers.




Peter J Humphries is President of Advanced Space Manufacturing Systems (ASMS, Inc.)

He has an MS degree in Engineering from San Jose State University. 

He has over forty years of empirical, hands-on international engineering experience.  He obtained a Certified Engineering Apprenticeship with the City & Guilds of London Mechanical Engineering.  He went on to receive certification from the Electrical & Electronics Engineering ITB.  More recently, Peter has been involved in large international projects in design as well as commissioning of automated manufacturing.  He has worked on systems for designing and repairing airline cargo-handling equipment, across the globe.  In the last several years, as president of ASMS, Peter has been involved in creating innovative solutions and engineering architectures that use a universal space module as a standard platform for space exploration and habitation.

He holds a patent “Space Manufacturing Module System and Method” (US: 7988096, Europe: 1796963) and a provisional patent “Application of a Double Door As Berthing Docking Mechanisms for Space Vehicles” (US: 62/672,690)

Adriana has a background in theoretical physics, holding an MSc (summa cum laude) in quantum cryptography and a PhD in quantum biology. Her postdoctoral research focused on photosynthesis as well as the origins of life. As Head of Innovation at SAP Africa she is passionate about exploring innovative applications of emerging technologies towards solving challenges facing the continent.

Adriana has authored numerous academic & popular science articles on science and technology, and has received a range of research awards, including the L’Oreal-UNESCO International Women in Science Award in 2015, and Royal Society of South Africa Meiring Naude Medal for a young scientist in 2016. Adriana volunteers as a board member of the Match4Action Foundation to accelerate social impact and director at the Foundation for Space Development South Africa, an exciting initiative of which is the Africa2Moon project. She is also one of 100 astronaut volunteers with the Mars One Project in the running to move to the Red Planet in the next decade



Dr. Perttula is Senior Lecturer at Tampere University of Applied Sciences where he is heading the Aeronautical Engineering education. His research interest include aircraft engineering especially drones with their applications and permanent habitat on Mars. In addition, he has researched product development processes, quality management, mass production, ODMs, sustainable production and systems engineering. He has over 20 year long career in product development, project management and quality control in the Finnish Air Force, in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Nokia Corporation, and in Hollming Ltd. He has worked abroad for six years in Taiwan, UK, Kenya and Botswana.



Sqn Ldr (Ret’d) Dinsley is a space surveillance practitioner with over 32 years RAF service. Joining in 1985 as a Fighter Controller, his final achievements included leading the UK military contribution in 2 significant programmes; the EU SST Framework and Combined Space Operations Initiative. As a CAS Fellow, Dinz has an MA in Peace and Development from Leeds Beckett; his dissertation covering "Critical Perspectives on UK Space Security". Dinz is the Director of Northern Space & Security Ltd, an associate and founding member of the think tank Reflecting Space, and an observer to the Hague Space Resource Governance Working Group.




Professor Peter Hines is a leading global authority on ‘Lean thinking’ and supply chain management (SCM). He has undertaken extensive cutting-edge research into the application of Lean both in a variety of organisational contexts and across entire supply chains. He has worked in many, diverse environments including: Defence, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive, Electronics, Retail and the public and education sectors.

He has pioneered and applied a significant range of ‘Lean’ and wider ‘Enterprise Excellence’ concepts and techniques.

He has authored and co-authored many books on Lean, Enterprise Excellence and SCM and is in demand as a primary speaker at conferences world-wide. 



Innovation Lead, VIVID/futureVision, Coventry University TechnoCentre

Dr Donough Wilson is innovation lead for advanced AI focused military and civil future cockpits and augmented intelligence cyber-physical flight control, mission management and combat management systems. He is a specialist in aviation human factors and a pioneer in the design of shared-intelligence human/machine digital interfaces for the elimination of CFIT and loss of control in commercial and military aircraft. He was the first to propose the autonomous satellite tracking and download of black-box flight data and cockpit voice recorder data, triggered when an airliner diverges from its assigned track and altitude by a specific exceedance of allowable pilot error. His design for the defence system protecting ultra-low flying military aircraft against high-powered asymmetric pulse energy and laser energy attack was the preferred choice for onward development. And his work on the non-cooperative 3D scanning and covert detection of concealed firearms, bladed weapons and suicide weapons on mass transport systems informed the UK R&D innovation programme. He is a member of two international aviation safety working groups, a member of two defence research communities, and a judge on the IMechE inter-unversities UAS Challenge. Dr Wilson is also a current EASA/CAA authorised flight test examiner and flying instructor with over 3000 hours in both civil and military environments. 



Robin Jaques is an LCS master coach which was completed through The Cardiff University scheme.He has a First degree in geography and psychology, and post graduate business qualifications. He is an accredited situational leadership trainer and Soundwave practitioner and is a partner in S A Partners and heads up their Aerospace and Defense sector.He joined S A partners in 2000 after a long period with Airbus where he learned a lot about the complexities of working in, and developing a large company. He then moved to Dyson Appliances where we delivered 4 years of spectacular growth, coming from around £10m to nearer £200m turnover.
