Conferences & Seminars Provide More Value At Farnborough

Networking and engagement are high on the agenda for exhibitors and visitors of the Farnborough International Airshow with the launch of an on-floor seminar programme, Airline Conference and a number of other planned events.

Farnborough’s new digital industry channel FINN will be responsible for delivering the on-floor seminar program at the show.  Entitled the ‘FINN Sessions’, the seminar programme will feature thought-provoking talks, panel discussions and keynote speakers to educate, challenge current perceptions and provide ideas for the future. The Innovation Theatre in Hall 3 will focus on new technologies and innovations in flight while the Insight Theatre in Hall 4 will look at major topics affecting the aerospace agenda today, such as the future of supersonic travel and space tourism to new markets and growth strategies.

Farnborough International Marketing & Communications Director, Andrew Pearcey, commented,

“Our goal for the show is to provide even more value to our exhibitor and visitor experiences at the show through content that is relevant to their industry. Sessions will run every morning during the trade week and will be free to attend. We also hope that some of these sessions will be CPD accredited giving attendees a valuable opportunity to enhance their personal skills and proficiency, and further their career.”

FINN will be announcing a call for papers at the beginning of December.

Alongside the seminar programme, a number of other events are planned. A one-day summit focused on the airline sector is currently under development with the organiser looking to invite airline chiefs to participate in a panel discussion to discuss the latest topics affecting the airline industry.

Building on the continuing success of the Space Zone, we are working with the UK Space Agency to explore further opportunities for crossover between the space and aerospace sectors. Wednesday of show week will feature a programme of exciting events focused on spaceflight and space launch.  The Delta V Conference on Wednesday morning will bring together industry leaders to discuss the global market for launch and spaceflight, including the UK’s ‘new space’ ambitions.

To support the Cargo sector at the show, Farnborough International is also developing a series of seminars focused on this sector which will take place in the Cargo Village.

Farnborough International Airshow is exhibiting at the Dubai Airshow, Stand 856B.
