With everything from deep space exploration to commercial flights commanding headlines around the world, how we utilise space technology in the years ahead is a more vital question than ever before.
As the world beyond our skies becomes more accessible to businesses around the world, the increasing commercialisation of space, the development of new international spaceport infrastructure and the ever-moving boundaries of what is possible in the sector were all explored at Farnborough International Airshow 2022.
The Space Zone, hosted in one of the brand-new sound stages, proved to be one of the most popular and successful parts of the show. Featuring exhibitors from a wide range of space-driven companies and Space Agencies from around the globe, the variety of ideas being shared and showcased was immense.
The dedicated Space Theatre put on a comprehensive 5-day schedule of pioneering and engaging content, welcoming inspirational speakers and key figures from the space industry including ESA Astronaut Matthias Maurer.
Visitors to Pioneers of Tomorrow on the Friday were also able to speak directly to ESA Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti live on the International Space Station, which was hosted in the brand new Aerospace Global Forum.
